There are over thirty thousand parenting books, millions of parenting websites and ‘how-to’ videos as well as countless parenting magazines on the market today.
In consideration of a parent’s limited amount of time and/or money, it is difficult to sort through the various media for advice, and identify help from hype.
Parental Wisdom® has been awarded the Good ParentingCM certification mark by the U. S. Patent office to resolve this issue by reviewing and recommending media that will be helpful to parents. Our goal is to help families identify quality parenting educational material, in support of their efforts in raising children.
The Process

Publishers and/or Authors submit work samples with an entry form, paying a nominal fee. Parental Wisdom advisors however, need only cover the cost of mailing their material to the reviewers. Five copies of the book or media are needed, plus a copy for Parental Wisdom’s files. Advisors are not charged an evaluation fee.
A Parental Wisdom Project Manager matches parent volunteers utilizing the collective expertise of our members. A Parental Wisdom member also reviews the work as a peer evaluator.
Evaluations are returned and compiled by Parental Wisdom. The mark is awarded to work that is found to be clear, helpful and providing actionable ideas for parents.
Award Winners Receive:

- The right to purchase the mark to affix to the work for sale.
- Winners are given the mark as an image for posting on their website.
- A listing on Parental Wisdom’s website as a Good Parenting mark winner with links to the site where the work can be purchased.
- Featured on the up-coming Parental Wisdom member email.
- Winners will be invited to participate in radio shows and other publicity forums.
